Argan Oil

I’m probably hoping on the bandwagon late again with this and I’m not really a beauty person. I occasionally try a few products that I take a liking to and tend to stick to my usual products that I know work well for me. After reading about Argan Oil and watching Youtube Beauty gurus hype on about them, I decided to give it a go.

I decided to give the Josie Maran Argan Oil ago and it was the only one I saw at Sephora at the time. I know there are probably cheaper alternatives out there.

What it is:
Argan oil is a lightweight oil that can be used as a daily moisturizer or treatment for skin, hair, and nails.

What it does:
This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that’s rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It’s gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow, and has astonishing healing, conditioning, and antiaging properties to keep your skin and hair nourished and revitalized and to keep you looking beautiful from head to toe.

What else you need to know:
100% Pure Argan Oil is first cold pressed to ensure the best quality, highest-grade oil. It is housed in a recyclable glass bottle and purchased from women’s cooperatives in Morocco to support their social and economic welfare. These cooperatives work within a UNESCO biosphere reserve that ensures the protection and reforestation of Argan trees.

Research results:
This product is clinically proven to improve skin hydration and skin elasticity after only four weeks. In just four weeks: Participants saw a visible reduction in coarse wrinkles and fine lines in the eye area, and more than 83% of women showed significantly improved skin hydration.

I thought I had photos of the actual product but I didn’t so I resorted to using google images. I couldn’t take photos of it because after 3 days of using it, I accidentally dropped the bottle and it smashed into a billion pieces. My heart literally sank at that moment. Sighh…

But on to the product. Initially, I didn’t really like putting on my skin and I wasn’t sure how much I should put on but, even after 3 days I did see a difference in my skin. I found that my complexion had improved slightly and my skin was a lot softer. I also used any excess product I had left on my cuticles or the ends of my hair. Alas, I cannot say much as there is nothing left for me to try but, I did purchase another bottle . This time I purchased Kahina Argan Oil from Charis Naturals after some research. Will blog about that in a week or so.

  • It’s lightweight
  • Fragrance free
  • You only require a few drops to go a long way. ( I found that 3 drops was more than enough for my whole face.)
  • Organic

  • It’s quite pricey. (I paid $72SGD for a 50ml bottle)
  • Bottle is really fragile

( Sorry there isn’t much of a review, I couldn’t use it as much as I would like… Seeing as it smashed and all.. )
